Maxine Machado Anderson RAD RTS is a Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and has recently relocated to Scotland from her hometown of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Having adored dance from a young age and trained by accomplished mentor, Nicola Trotter at DanceHorizons, Maxine gained a place at the prestigious Urdang Academy in London, where she was delighted to graduate with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.
Maxine has danced and sung professionally in London alongside The Wanted, on Strictly Come Dancing, Britain’s Got Talent and the X Factor. In Dubai, her credits include High School Musical for which she was Dance Captain, multiple Dubai International Dance Festivals, the Dubai World Cup, Short+Sweet theatre festivals, an immersive production of Romeo and Juliet for #ShakespeareLives and most notably playing the leading role of Roxane in Cyrano de Bergerac, directed by James Gaddas (of Bad Girls, Doctors, Coronation Street and Emmerdale).
Furthering her passion for ballet and continued learning, Maxine qualified in all levels of the American Ballet Theatre’s cutting edge National Training Curriculum and is a Silver Swans Licensee. She has enjoyed teaching, choreographing and submitting pupils for RAD examinations for a number of years, most recently including Nairn and Inverness.
Maxine has always loved travelling and being a citizen of the world for most of her life, so it is only fitting that she opens the doors of Mind Ballet Soul globally. Stay tuned, though, as she has ideas coming out of her ears for the future of MBS both locally and online.
