Having danced multiple styles from a young age, Maxine Machado Anderson, gained a place at the prestigious Urdang Academy in London, where she was delighted to graduate with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre in 2013.

Maxine has performed professionally in London alongside The Wanted, on Strictly Come Dancing, Britain’s Got Talent and the X Factor. In Dubai, her credits include High School Musical for which she was Dance Captain, multiple Dubai International Dance Festivals, the Dubai World Cup, Short+Sweet theatre festivals, an immersive production of Romeo and Juliet for #ShakespeareLives and most notably playing the leading role of Roxane in Cyrano de Bergerac, directed by James Gaddas (of Bad Girls, Doctors, Coronation Street and Emmerdale). 

Furthering her passion for ballet and continued learning, Maxine qualified as a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher, in all levels of the American Ballet Theatre’s cutting edge National Training Curriculum and is a Silver Swans Licensee. She has enjoyed teaching, choreographing and submitting pupils for RAD examinations for over a decade, most recently including Nairn and Inverness.

Maxine keeps individual growth, body confidence and mental wellbeing at the forefront of her teaching ethos to create a diverse, nurturing and inclusive environment for dancers of all ages and stages to thrive and experience the joy in dance. Come join the movement!
